About Desoto Dental Institute
Desoto Dental Institute is a learning academy approved by the Mississippi State Board of Dental Examiners to train individuals interested in becoming dental assistants. At the completing of the 10 week program, our students will receive a Certificate of Program Completion, Radiology Permit, and Basic Life Support Training. At DDI, our goal is to propel energetic, goal-oriented candidates forward to excel in the dental field. The highly competitive institute accepts no more than ten students each academic session in order to give more undivided attention to our students. Our graduates will receive individual mentorship opportunities with dentists licensed in the surrounding states, letters of recommendation, and assistance with job placement.

Licensed by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration, Certificate No. C-3428. Licensure indicates only that minimum standards have been met; it is not an endorsement or guarantee of quality. Licensure is not equivalent to or synonymous with accreditation by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

Meet the Instructors
Dr. LaShunda Thompson Roberts
Dr. LaShunda Thompson Roberts, owner of iSmile Family Dentistry, Inc., is a native of Greenwood, MS. She attended Amanda Elzy High School, completing her high school education at Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science. Afterwards, Dr. Thompson-Roberts matriculated to Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans receiving her B.S in Biology, and Minor in Chemistry. She then received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. She is licensed in three state—Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee, and she has actively practiced in these states.
Donna Farr
Donna Farr is from Pontotoc, Mississippi. She has worked in various roles in dentistry for over a decade. She has served as a dental assistant, instructor at two career colleges, and an office manager.
